Do you know every company in the world always tried to eliminated activities which not give any value to customer or to company? Why? because activities with no value it mean cost for company and every cost will impact to cost production. To get a lot of benefit then Company must minimize the cost of production.
In Japan, there is most famous theory of supply chain, Toyota Ways. If you read the book, you will understand every determination and effort to make Toyota success. First they introduce about 7 waste (Seven waste) that must be eliminated, continues improvement to make better work for production, just in time, make new market, make system with automation, mixed level or balanced production.
In this section i would like to explain about 7 waste (Seven Waste). Example of waste in manufacture industry are like counting inventory, temporary inventory, machine breakdown, looking for tools, watching machine run, waiting for raw material, part material shortage, defect, rework, overproduction, double handling, moving inventory in long distance and there are more.Why 7 waste because it is 7 category, first overproduction, waiting, transportation, overprocessing, inventory, rework and defect, and motion.
so, you can tried to monitor all of your company process and then try to check list every activities due to 7 waste (Seven Waste). This is my sample of 7 Waste in Cement Industry

Great writing, but to dispose of these wastes is also a cost. Maybe for industries that are already guaranteed capital will get over it, but for small industries (home industry) would be more difficult to dispose of such waste, due to capital constraints. Though small industry that is now incorporated into the motor’s economy in Indonesia
well i’m not fully agree with u, but i agree for some situation it also make cost for eliminated the waste. but i can suggest you to try for the easiest, for example, minimize waiting process, make optimal distance fot transportation process, etc. hmmm, i sory maybe i can make some example at my work, to eliminate waste with no cost, tried to make optimum inventory, like i wrote before in another page, inventory is also must be considered in industry, to much inventory then it will effect to your flow money, for this analysis you don’t need to spend money.second example for workers, tried to eliminated motion or waiting (idle time).but sometimes Mr. henry spend another money to eliminate waste it can give more advantages,but first you must calculated between money for invest with the advantages that will you achieved, if it really give you more benefit then it will better if you do it.
